Speaking: Talking About the Future Plans and Dreams
Talking about the future plans and dreams is the A2–B1 speaking skill that combines future tense work with personal sharing. The worksheet covers vocabulary and structures for short-term plans (tomorrow, next weekend), medium-term (next year, in three years), and longer-term dreams (one day, eventually). Learners build the future-discussion fluency every social and Cambridge Speaking context requires.
This worksheet builds A2–B1 speaking fluency with future-discussion patterns.

Common challenges: Will vs going to vs Present Continuous for future — the choice signals the speaker’s certainty and planning. I’m going to study medicine (decided plan) vs I’d like to study medicine (aspiration). Hedging certainty about long-term dreams: I hope to, I’d love to, ideally.
