These terms govern your use of JIMMYESL (jimmyesl.com) and any membership you buy from us. By using
the site or subscribing, you agree to them. Please read the section on cancellation and refunds, because
it affects your legal rights.
Who we are
jimmyesl.com is operated by Marketing The Change Ltd (company number 10829444), registered office at Lombard Chambers, Ormond Street, Liverpool, L3 9NA, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us through our
contact page.
What the site provides
JIMMYESL publishes teaching materials for ESL and EFL teachers: worksheets, conversation questions,
lesson plans and related articles. A large part of the site is free to read and always will be. Some
downloads require an email address, and our full worksheet library is available to paying members.
Membership
- Membership is billed as a recurring subscription, either monthly or annually, at the price shown at
checkout. Prices are in US dollars. - Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. We do
not require a minimum term and there is no cancellation fee. - You can cancel at any time from your account page. See the
Refund and Cancellation Policy for what happens to the
rest of a period you have already paid for. - If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.
- We may change membership prices. If we do, we will tell existing members by email before the change
affects them, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
What you may do with our materials
Everything we publish stays our property, or the property of the people we licensed it from. As a
member, or as someone who has downloaded a free worksheet, you may:
- print and photocopy our worksheets for your own classes, including classes you are paid to teach;
- share them with students in a class you are teaching, on paper or through your own school’s learning
platform; - adapt them for your own teaching.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute our materials, whether or not you charge for them;
- upload them to worksheet-sharing sites, file-sharing services or a public website;
- share your membership login with anyone else, or use one membership to supply materials to a whole
school or department. If you need a school or institutional licence, please
get in touch; - use our materials to train a machine learning model, or scrape the site in bulk.
Your licence to use the materials continues for anything you downloaded while your membership was
active, even after it ends. Access to the library itself stops when the membership stops.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are
responsible for what happens under your login. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these
terms, and if we close yours for a breach we may not refund it.
Contributor content
If you write for us, you keep the copyright in what you write and grant us a perpetual, worldwide,
royalty-free licence to publish, edit and promote it on JIMMYESL. You confirm that the work is yours, that
it does not infringe anyone else’s rights, and that any images you supply are cleared for our use.
Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep the site up and the materials accurate and useful, but we do not promise that it will
always be available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular class or exam. Teaching materials are a
starting point for a qualified teacher’s judgement, not a substitute for it.
Links and third parties
We link to other sites and sometimes earn a commission when you buy through those links. That never
changes what you pay, and we only recommend things we would recommend anyway. We are not responsible for
the content of sites we link to.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal
injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit,
business, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total
liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights the law gives you, and nothing here affects
them.
Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our
Data Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top
tells you when it last changed. If a change materially reduces your rights as a member, we will tell you
by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have
jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer
protections available to you locally.
