Common challenges: Travel, trip, journey, voyage all translate to single words in many L1s — travel (uncountable, general), trip (a single round journey), journey (the experience of travelling), voyage (long, especially by sea). Verb-particle confusion: get on the bus / get in the taxi / get off the train / get out of the car — particles vary with vehicle type. False friends: German Bahnhof maps to station; Spanish estación maps similarly; but terminal in English is airport-specific.
