Reading: Technology Addiction

Technology addiction is a B1–B2 reading text on one of the most personally relevant contemporary issues. The text covers how digital products are designed for engagement (intermittent rewards, infinite scroll, push notifications, social validation loops), the psychological effects (attention fragmentation, sleep disruption, comparison anxiety, dopamine-driven behaviour), and possible responses (digital detox, app-blocker tools, intentional use). Learners read for design-intent identification, harm-mechanism explanation, and self-protection strategy.

This worksheet builds B1–B2 reading comprehension through a digital-wellbeing text.
