Monica is a former Reading Intervention Specialist, Special Education Teacher, ESL teacher, and ESL Chair. Currently, she is working as an instructor of undergraduates and undergraduate pre-teachers in the Exceptional Student Education Program at the University of Central Florida while obtaining her doctoral degree. Her research is devoted to helping struggling readers by streamlining dyslexia diagnosis and interventions within and outside special education contexts.
